This is the sign outside the entrance to the Blue Ox Bar. The Blue Ox Bar is tucked in an out-of-the-way corner and is easy to miss if you aren't poking around. The Blue Ox Bar was not part of the original lodge plans. Possibly the forest service architects didn't think about a bar, or maybe they thought it might not be appropriate for a government-owned building. As the lodge was being finished it was realized that it did not have a bar. The decision was made that there really should be a bar, so a storage space was quickly converted into the Blue Ox Bar.
