Blue Ox Bar, Timberline Lodge

This is the Blue Ox Bar. The stained glass murals of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox were designed by Virginia Darce and created by the same team of craftsmen that did the Drinking Fountain Mosaic we looked at previously. Notice the massive looking chairs made from thick, wide slabs of solid wood. The bar has a wrought iron gate on the door that was added in the 1990's so that you can see into the bar when it is not open. Now we will head up to the 1st floor.
