Glacier N.P. 1914-1915. Granite Park Chalet was built in 1914 and 1915 by the Great Northern Railway to provide comfortable back country accommodations inside Glacier National Park. It was the last of the chalets built by the railroad and one of only two back country chalets that have survived. Today this rustic lodge is listed as a National Historic Landmark and it continues to provide comfortable lodging to adventurers and visitors in the Glacier National Park wilderness.

Glacier N.P. 1913. Sperry Chalet was built in 1913 by James J. and son Louis Hill of the Great Northern Railway, the prime developer of Glacier National Park. Listed as an Historic Landmark, these rustic buildings, built of native rock, have survived their rugged environment relatively unchanged for over 90 years.

Opened in 1914 the main buildings consist of a two story hotel building and a kitchen/dining room building. A maintenance building and a new restroom building are located between hotel and dining room buildings. Other than a modernized kitchen and the new composting restroom facility, the interiors and exteriors are much as they were built.

The private guest rooms are without lights, heat or water. Flashlights are used at night as no candles or fueled lights are allowed. The dining room has a wood stove and propane lights for your comfort.

East Glacier Park, MT. Built in 1912. Glacier Park Lodge & Resort is nestled in East Glacier at the foot of Dancing Lady Mountain. With an outdoor swimming pool (mid June to early August), nine-hole golf course, day spa, lounge, fine dining restaurant, eclectic gift shop and its close proximity to Glacier National Park, this 161-room lodge is a wonderful Montana destination.

The lodge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 28, 1987.

Glacier N.P. Built in 1933. Swiftcurrent Motor Inn is located one mile from Many Glacier Hotel and is a hiker’s paradise with trailheads for many of Glacier’s most spectacular hikes. In addition to 88 cottage and motor inn rooms, you will find an Italian-style restaurant, fully stocked camp store/gift shop, and numerous activities at this picturesque location.

The inn was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 4, 1996.

Glacier N.P. Built in 1940. Rising Sun Motor Inn sits adjacent to spectacular St. Mary Lake and is surrounded by soaring mountain peaks. The inn was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 4, 1996.
