This is the sitting room, it is located at the corner of the historic section. The doors with draperies open onto the Water Avenue side. In the days before air conditioning the doors would be opened to allow air movement through the room. The cast iron fireplace is original. The painting of the woman over the fireplace is of Lucinda, it is believed she was a long time resident of the hotel.
