This is a 360 degree panorama of the first floor taken from the center of the lobby. When the hotel was restored the entire first floor had to be rebuilt. The concrete floor was removed and a new wood floor was installed. The first floor of the historic section now contains the lobby, dining room, and bar. This is not a duplication of the original hotel layout, which would not have been practical for a modern hotel. The dining room was originally on the second floor. Because there was not enough room for a modern kitchen in the original hotel footprint, the new kitchen, as well as the hotel's support facilities, were expanded into the adjacent historic retail building.
